Homebrew scumm help

i managed to find some games and i've tried adding them to a zip file (stored only)monkey island 1 and 2 and i can't get them to work
how many files should i have per game (estimate) is it 2 or more than that
what format should the files be in .exe or others (i'm not asking for all the format's just a rough guide)
roughly how big should the file per game be

when i boot the scummvm it says zip file check..........not in use
where am i going wrong

i haven't seen anything that answers my question there.
i've downloaded their demos and can't get them to work on my ds

ok i took it out of the zip file and it worked
