Hacking Screen Flashes Green Shade

I have been faced with a problem with my DS for over a month that has rendered many games unplayable. About a year ago, I received a crack hinge
about a month after my purchase of the lite. Now, about a month ago I was faced with a problem in which the screen repeatedly displays a green shade, making
difficult to see. Now, I can get in certain positions (before the first click) so that it is clear, but I find that very uncomfortable. I also must add that this has gradually
become a problem, at first it only displayed a green shade in certain positions, but now it almost always does.

Is there a way to manually fix it? My warranty is void and I really don't want to pay to send it in.

It could be the ribbon cable connecting the screen to the rest of the DS has become dislodged or loose, you could try taking it apart and just wiggle around the ribbon cable.
