Gaming saved data?

I just got my switch, I do not have a SD card yet. I am playing BOTW obviously duh. I am wondering is this saving to the cartridge w/ my saves? Or is it saving to NAND. IF I had an SD would it be saving there?... if I get an SD can I move it? where should it all be ahhhh

It saves to NAND. There's no way to transfer, backup or restore.

Yet. 3DS didn't have save backups until later firmware, if I'm remembering correctly. Hell, it didn't even have folders.
