Hacking Save compressing help

If I use Waninkoko's save Extractor, I get all the different files on my SD Card. Fine. But how do I compress these to data.bin without using the Save Installer? This pits it stright on my Wii anyway, which has no use. Plus, every time I try to use it I get the (ret -1) error. So is there an application that I can use to do this with? Thanks.

Unfortunately, the only way I know of to accomplish this would be to use these tools: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Segher%27s_Wii.git
I say that this is unfortunate because there are no compiled builds in circulation, and they tend to be quite fickle when you try to compile them yourself.. Believe you me, I'd love it if there were another (simpler) way of compiling a data.bin save file, but it doesn't really appear there is.
