Hacking Sakura languages

So I have some files named in Simplified Chinese, Korean, and Japanese, as well as English, but Eur/US Sakura doesn't like them. How do I get the Asian characters to display instead of those frustrating ???'s?

I tried downloading the font files here, and copied them to the textfont folder as instructed, but no go. Solutions?

copy and rename the c****.936 > c****.000 from the Asia version and replace the one in the EUR version
also if you want to display chinese in txt files, replace the fonts in the textfont folder with the ones from the Asia version, rename them to the same name by deleting a 1, 2 or 3 then overwrite them

that makes it display japanese then you lose chinese display..it's either one or the other
