Hacking Safe to update O3DS to 10.5?

Is it safe to update my Old 3DS XL (currently on emunand 10.4) to 10.5 on reinand? I hear something about Nintendo being able to detect emunand now or something along those lines. Is that true?

EDIT: I've updated to 10.5 and reinand and online features seem to be working perfectly.

I'm pretty sure that's only for New 3DS. You should be fine, but I'm an idiot sometimes, so don't take my word for it on 10.5.

im not sure of the compatibility of the CFW, i think they all work on o3DS. just make sure you update emuNAND. And where did you hear nintendo can detect emuNAND? im not very up to date, but i think thats false.

I'm on 10.5 (N3DSXL tho) and not having problems... If they can detect emunand on 10.5 they should be able to detect it on 10.4 too.

i think they all work on o3DS.

Official reiNAND doesn't run on old3DS, try CakesFW instead.

Reinand doesn't work on 10.5? It works perfectly on 10.4. Problem with Cakes is I don't think I was able to run Smash Bros. with it.

I've not tried it myself but I heard it works. it's Aurora Wright's mod I think.

Well I updated to 10.5 and reinand is launching perfectly. Online seems to work fine so no issues here so far.

I have updated my emunand to 10.5 few days ago and don't have any kind of problems.
