I wonder why Cole is in there twice. He might have some changing mechanic in game like Zelda/Sheik (Sorry for Smash comparison), because having both Good and Evil cole available in Character Selection as different chars would be kind of stupid. Their moves are not even that different in inFamous. Also I've never seen that weird white cat creature before on EU PSN. I know he's probably well known in Japan, but here... Not so much. Also, some of the characters and stages make for pretty weird style combinations. I mean, the cat mascot thing and the Locoroco stage are pretty cutesy and cartoonish, while ie. Cole and the Killzone guy are realistic dudes who kill people - same thing as Snake in Brawl but on a larger scale.
Toro is the Japanese mascot. For the record having characters unfamiliar with worldwide audiences is common. Lucas from SSBB has never been seen in the US or EU outside of his appearance in Brawl.
As for Cole, I do agree it is a bit of a stupid decision although I never really played inFamous. He seems more appropriate for a skin than anything else. That's if it's Evil Cole, I can't really tell from the image (mind you I never played an inFamous game) and no one is pinning it exactly on Evil Cole.
Also, to everyone complaining about conflicting themes between cartoony characters and realistic characters, I never remember anyone complaining when you have M-rated Dante or Nemesis gunning down cutesy characters like Roll in Marvel vs. Capcom. If anything, part of the fun is having a cartoony character get shot in the face or beaten up horrifically by some sadistic realistic character like Sweet Tooth.
Crossover brawlers are meant to have conflicting themes and characters go at each other for fun.
