I'm curious, Rubik's cubes are a puzzle, but really easy once you know how to.
I own a 2x2, 3x3 and a 5x5, gotta buy a 4x4.
Im not fast at it at all, but its fun to play around with.
Still cant memorize the algorithms for the last couple 5x5 edges.
Well, post and lets see results.

2x2 is easy. 2 algorithms
3x3 is also easy. I'm still in the 30~35 second range though.
5x5 is easier than 4x4, because there is a lower chance to get a parity error.. But if I do get a parity, I get stuck

4x4 is kind of annoying, because it's hard to avoid parity errors, but basically, only 2 parity algorithms are necessary.
I still need to memorize the last layer for the megaminx

even if i just use like a formula to solve
does that count?
i wish i could do it without knowing the formula
would take a lot less time

sure, its basically memorization after a while.

QUOTE(PharaohsVizier @ Nov 12 2008, 11:02 PM) Soooo many people can solve the 3x3x3 now that it has lost all meaning. Anyways, 3x3x3 no problem, 4x4x4 no problem, 5x5x5 is coming in the mail from DX, I've tried a friend's and got really really close, but had to leave before I had time, I'm assuming it ends similarly so I put down somewhat, but when it gets here and I can confirm, I'd put that down under yep.

Mine is a Rubik's brand 5x5, im kind of scared that my center-ish pieces will snap off, like some on youtube videos.
You basically solve all the centers, then the edges and then solve it as a 3x3. I'll memorize soon, hopefully.

Btw, it takes me roughly a minute for the 3x3, maybe a bit less, still kinda slow...

Are you all geniuses or something?

I have trouble solving a 3x3 rubik's cube.

Maybe you're all just older and smarter than me.

How old are you? i just turned 16 today [Nov 12]. and smart, i don't think i really am... its a matter of memorization after you learn it. find some online tutorials, i personally find sites that can teach you step by step visually are better, but thats just me. My cousin taught me the 3x3, so yeah. GOODLUCK!

I never tried 4x4 or 5x5, but I can solve 3x3.....I even managed to solve it without any algorithm, it took me days, when I was a kid..

But now when I now the scheme, I'm pretty quick, but not under a minute!

I've been able to do 3x3 since I was a kid, but I have no idea what algorithms you guys are talking about. Might have to look that up. It's always been a calming thing instead of a speed thing for me anyway. Kinda like meditation balls.

I used to do one shaped like a pyramid too, but I have no idea what happened to it.

I honestly had no idea that there were 4x4 and 5x5 cubes. Might have to give one a try.

I wish I knew how to solve a 3x3 :\ It's really fun to show off in school. I see kids doing it all the time and wish I could do that stuff, but it just seems so hard (and I don't even have a cube at home anyway)

Wtf?? People at my school were all impressed that I could solve one side of the 3x3x3! My God, how do you guys solve it?
Never tried the others.

I bought one two summers ago to solve and I could get about 40% at most of it done. Then my younger siblings got a hold of it and tore off half the stickers...I just let them play with it after that. I'm thinking of getting more stickers for it/making my own. but I haven't taken it up seriously since then. Maybe in the spring.

Uhh, I used to be able to do it but now I forgot how to do the last 2 layers (I was taught to solve in layers) Lol I might try to learn it again, I'm bored
