I seen Dio when I was 16 in Dayton Ohio at the Hara Arena, it was his Holy Diver tour and it was very intense. He had this huge dragon that spit out fire, that made you feel like you could peel your scalp back off your head from the heat with a midget lady running around on stage. The music rocked harder than most and still has more fiber to it than most music today. He will always be remembered. R.I.P

While I have a lot of respect for Dio,
I couldn't see a reason to have two active topics reporting his death.
They have now been merged.

While Holy Diver is a great song, I don't like most of his work. When it came to Black Sabbath, Ozzy was a far superior vocalist. But at least Dio had the respect not to try and imitate Ozzy in any form, something other replacement singers have tried to do over the years. Certainly one of the most recognized names in heavy metal, he will be missed by friends, family and fans alike.
