riivolution patch

Hi, I've got a question.

How can I modify an iso/wbfs to apply a riivolution patch that includes ram offset instructions? I'd like to patch super mario galaxy with the classic controller squemes introduced by super hackio. His patch includes an xml file with instructions that, I presume, can't be directly apply to the iso via wimms tools.

Can anyone put me on the right track to achive my goal?

I have tried this also with a super mario galaxy 2 mod by replacing the files with the ones from the mod but it would crash when i try to make a save file because the save file needs to be a custom format.
