Double check that the assets is in SD:/retroarch/media/assets, and that the directory is specifically set to that, otherwise, it won't work. XMB has barely been implemented, isn't quite perfected yet, but is still quite responsive.

Spam-loading the menu, app, ROMs, cores, etc doesn't seem to present any issues with stability.

Edit: This may be my new go-to version until 1.5.1 is released :P

Solved. Thank you. Do you know how to remove the music from the retroarch launcher channel?

Ok so I now have the xmb working and the next problem I am hit with is that only the roms I have zipped are showing the unzipped ones don't display in the list to load them and they worked fine in previous versions of retroarch. Going back to a previous version and low and behold the unzipped roms show again lol. Edit ignore the above all working now had hide unknown files selected had to fix that in options and all working fine now lol

Can anyone point to a good thumbnails repository download link now that we have xmb compatibility?
Thanks in advance.

Download RetroArch.7z and copy the "assets" folder to sd:/retroarch/media

Your sd should have now sd:/retroarch/media/assets
In RA Wii U under directory change the path to sd:/retroarch/media/assets and restart/quit RA.
If it doesn't work, I can even copy the directories, zip them, and a config file your way :P
I tried the x86/RetroArch.7z but I am still getting the white screen.
Any particular idea as to why it happens?

Do you change your assets path in directory?
Again, if need be, I can send the correct files and config file if need be.
Got it working.
I had retroarch/media only and not assets specified.

I also noticed the color changes do not apply to the themes, but hey, it looks sexy!

It's certainly a nice addition, I like how sleek it feels, probably a few more tweaks needed methinks, and also the build is surprisingly stable for a nightly. I haven't experienced a single crash after all the menu and ROM spamming I've done, loading cores, games, etc in rapid succession :P

So, I'm curious if I'm missing a folder, or need to now set a directory for something other than assets? Once I restart the app with a configuration file it errors me to the 160-2203 and I have to hard reset.all I did was throw all this stuff in, brand new install of everything. Well RetroArch rpx to the apps folder, then the provided retroarch folder and then added the media and assets folder.

Edit: and it only seems to do it once the Config file is there. If I deleted configuration file it works fine
