Im using the same nightly and the genplus gx core is giving me an ISI error i dont know if its the same error your getting but its there. Also the atari800 core does not work for me it loads and plays the game but none of the buttons work does anyone know a fix?
I have the latest nightly of genplus and everything is working fine for me tried about 10 roms and a few Sega CD games with zero problems.for Atari800 again controls are working perfectly for me so no idea why you have issues sorry.

Because I don't really feel like looking more than a few back, how is PS1 dynarec coming along, is anyone working on it?
could we eventually see full speed PS1 emulation on this hardware?

It just feel lika a missed oportunity that the Wii PS1 emulator runs PS1 games better than the Wii U, Heck the PSP runs PS1 games full speed and my phone can emulate the PSP full speed and my PC can emulate my Phone full speed. Nothing can emulate my PC but you get the point.

Not again... We had enough with the pesimist of a certain person xd

Im not a pesimist, If I where, I would not try to follow this thread every once in a while hoping for some news.
Maybe instead of sounding like a butthurt pig you could try to answer the question or just be quiet?

Your post made me laugh at just how stupid it is but anyway lets look at the facts

1. The Wii emulator has been in development for many years and was not that great when it first arrived it has taken a very very long time to get to where it's at now
2. Psp is very similar to the ps1
3. More importantly psp has had homebrew being developed for it for many many years
4. PPSSPP for phones has been in development for many years to get to where its at now
5. Wiiu has pretty much only had homebrew in the last year and the ps1 emu for wiiu is only about 5 months old

So what is the conclusion from all that. Yes it takes a bloody long time for things to work near perfectly we are many many months away from a psx emu working.

I'm not the one that sounds like a butthurt pig xD , anyway your answer would be something like " I think so , some days ago there was a talk to implement dynarec and that kind of stuff and then porting to Wii u would be much much simple or something like that . it's more than possible that an psx emulator on Wii u run at full speed but that depends on the developers to reach it...

1. Didn't take the wii very long to get it's PSX emulator to where it is right now, then it died
2. PSP is not very similar to the PS1 (sure they both have MIPS CPU's but I had an x86 PC that could emulate the PS1 on win98 long before the PSP)
3. The PS1 emulator for PSP was developed by Sony Playstation and is also found in the PS Vita
4. Yeah sure PPSSPP has been in developement for quite some time now, but it has progressed much faster than emulation for the Wii U
5. Ok if that is true then I can understand it, but that is what im asking for, Is anyone working on it? that was my question.
I only know that retroarch for Wii U has been around for quite some time and it would be nice to hear that someone is working for dynarec support.
This forum has gotten very hostile the last couple of years and it's a shame.

Dynarec has to happen
There needs to be a framework
Framework has a bounty
Need a developer to pick up bounty
Once a bounty is done, framework is done, dynarec is done

It won't happen for a while.

That's all we're going to say, please read through the other pages next time to find out. No more asking about PSX, etc please, it's getting a little stale. Sorry

Well said the_randomizer yep we are looking at least 6 months before we will have a ps1 emu working full speed probably going to take a lot longer.

But hey, at least we have a solid starting point, it's a matter of patience, something I have to battle with a lot.

are you for real? psp has a bulit in ps1 emulator made by sony itself... no one even made a ps1 emulator for psp, it was there as part of the fw made by sony so psp could play ps1 originals from the psn store, all the hackers did was allow you to turn regular ps1 games into psn psx games... srs you have no idea when you say psp can emulate ps1 lol, psp was made in the same architeture by sony so it could "emulate" the ps1 in the first place...

psp runs ps1 games natively with only afew things emulated like memory card and such, basicaly the official psp psx emulator is what nintendont is for the wii, an app that emulates very few missing hardware parts but in all runs the games natively due to architeture being the same.

same deal for ps2 and ps1 on ps3, sony made those emulators not some random homebrewer... its very diferent when the console has an emulator already built in and you only hack it to play more games rather than making one from scratch.
