Gaming Resident Evil: The Mercenaries multiplayer

Does this game allow cross-region local play? I was thinking about buying this one so we could play together with my brother but he owns EU version of 3ds and I own the US... because some of 3ds games are region-lock on multiplayer. (Mario games, Tri Force Heroes). Help me out guys thank you

To bad u 2 didn't hack your 3ds's as download play had been patched region free

Really? I already hacked my 3ds I just like collecting the cartridge box if it's cool.
do you have to do something to make the download play region free or it's ready to go? Using Luma3ds+A9lh
