Purpose: Every day or every time the 3DS is brought out of sleep mode, the current Mii hat/outfit you have in Mii Plaza is randomized to another you have in your collection.
It's an odd request. But after looking at how themes and badges work, I wonder if the same can be applied to those hats. It's impossible to just stick with one.
