Working on my dad Wii that stopped reading discs. Without knowing much I bought a replacement drive off of eBay for D2A D2B D2C D2E DMS DVD Drives it said it had a pirate chip. Not sure what that'd be for but bought it anyway. Well after installing it, the system still won't read a disc and my original one was the d3 chipset. Does anyone know if the one I bought will work or should I just swap boards with the original. The ebay seller said his won't work on my system but wanted to be sure. I had grinding gears so I had to get a new drive.
