Gaming Replacement for windows media player

sry bout that, was away for a few days. yeah i already have vlc of course (for videos) though there's no playlist for it! (or is there o.O)

EDIT: o i was stupid and neglected to mention that i want a replacement program for music not videos. for videos i have vlc and media player classic. sry guys

yeah i tried reinstalling it. it's weird. i press it to turn on, and nothing happens. i just installed avast. perhaps that has somethin to do with it? o.O

VLC fo' sure. If may look boring but you can get skins for it.

VLC replaced WMP for me considering WMP sucks.

vlc is a video player
not meant for music management though it will play them

i actually enjoy using windows media player because i just dloaded the k-lite codec pack which avg. is like 60mb of space and turns WMP into a universal player
woohoo!
i tried VLC and its great its super duper clean and simple never tried customizing it(if possible?) though

depending on what you use WmP for (music-prob foobar or some stuff like that)
(movies-trust me just dload klite codec pack makes ur life watching so many files easy)

I agree that VLC isn't a great choice for music. I use XM Play* these days for music because it is SO SMALL in both file size and memory usage size. It's also crazy fast.

Definitely foobar2k. and VLC for video - both apps have nice clean UI's that can be customised to how you like (especially fb2k).

xbmc is much more convenient though as a media centre, and now available for PC.

Foobar2000 has the ability to play all major audio formats already, including FLAC, M4A, ect.
and so does VLC, but with video.

tried VLC player w/ the codec thing it had but it never quite worked for me
as for Fbar2k i still have yet to try it
