Hacking Remove CFW switch, sd card problem

Hello guys, my friend have a switch with CFW, and he only turn on with SD card, but the SD connector has broken a lot of pins.
Can I return to OFW without a SD card?

Well yes but it sounds like he just has AutoRCM enabled.
