Is there an official compatibility list? I'm guessing larger, complex games like Broken Sword will not work.
I don't know of any games yet that simply won't run. There are a handful of games that run too slow on n3ds, and then even more that run too slow on o3ds. But the majority of ScummVM games work great.

Someone made a video of some Broken Sword gameplay in this thread a little while ago. It looks less pixated in current version than it is in the video. The text is now readable. It's nearly fullspeed on n3ds, but too slow on o3ds. There are still some GPU optimization to be made, but it requires paletted textures. When I figure out a solution for that, many more games will run fullspeed on o3ds.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Has anyone tried Curse Of Monkey Island with the latest CIA build on an O3ds? If so, is it playable?
I played a little, it's too laggy for me but it could be considered playable to some.
Can the .3dsx build run all engine as of now or it still WIP?
No, and I'm not sure if it will ever. I'll research it some more, but I'll probably end up just making 3 or more different 3dsx builds all having different engines.

CIA works fine now! Thank you so much!

I find the Select button a little too easy to press on the N3DS though - causing you to lose your game if you accidentally hit it.

Also, the DS version of ScummVM had the top screen follow wherever you pointed with the stylus on the bottom screen (and it is also zoomed in by default). It was very helpful to pick out small details and also helped to read weird or small fonts in certain games, like 'I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream'. I'd love to see that feature implemented in the 3DS version if it is at all possible.

Lastly, would it be possible to enable/disable the left-click on screen-tap when in Hover mode? I find I much prefer using the D-Pad to click as opposed to tapping the screen, as the latter leads to a lot of accidental taps.

You don't "install" games, that's the great part about ScummVM, you just need the files from the disc, because many PC games from the 80s/90s are difficult to install on modern systems.

I played SoMI all the way through, and only encountered one bug whereby Guybrush got stuck behind a rock in the catacombs section. Reloading this section from a saved file fixed this. Other than that, every other aspect of the game ran perfectly.

Thanks for this info. I copied over the .iso contents and loaded the game from the resource folder.

Yeah, you probably need to install one of them on your sysnand. (or use the CIA version of ScummVM)
