Can you add a way to use the app on local WiFi network, and not use a mobile hotspot.

Was thinking of it, I'll separate the hotspot from the server

Just a guess, but I imagine the OP doesn't want to spend the several thousands of pounds required to set up a development environment to create an iOS version of the app...

Absolutely :P

I will make a rollback feature, when you start the hotspot it will remember what was enabled/disabled and revert it when you stop the hotspot

switched to this app from the most recent gateway loader app and i must say this one just works perfectly.
wanted to ask if you could re-enable wifi after closing the service, but it seems its allready on your to-do list. awesome !

one thing though if my 4G network is on, the IP adress for the exploit changes and it gives a connection error.
so could you disable both wifi and mobile network when launching the service, and reinstate them when you close the service.

I'm gonna do it, I'm looking at a solution to have an embedded tethering feature, instead of using the system one

edit: I currently can't find a way to disable/enable mobile data, the private/hidden method usually used was removed in Android 4.4

edit2 : Update released ; I removed the autostart at launch cus I think it was too rude. But I added a WiFi State revert feature when you stop the server

To create a "embedded tethering" you need to be root... since you must access wlan0 and lo to create it on the fly

I could use a direct link to the apk to download, as I don't have/want google play.
Also, why no source?

No source because I didn't have the occasion to share it, never thought about it and I dunno if it's useful

I'll upload an APK this evening after a few tweaks

I just downloaded the app and i am very new to this.. does this mean i can use this with my wireless switch off on my 3ds? because i started the server.. and i am trying to figure this out.. I think i see my LG G2 show up on the access points... but it asks for a password.. is this right? am i supposed to connect to my phone? but i have no password? how do i do this? thanks alot.

The password is controlled by your android phones tethering / hotspot / internet sharing options.

It may show in the notification list when it is enabled, and give you the option to configure it.

Or you will find it somewhere in the Android settings for your phone.

Then you can find the password, or set it to something easier.

natinusala Since smea released a RegionThree loader, it will be a good idea if the app have an ability to customize Launcher.dat filename. I've just checked, RegioThree is launching with any filename, with index.html modification. Luckily Launcher.dat filename is in clear text.

What are you talking about ? The page ? They are the same than the official Gateway ones ; if you're afraid of breaking anything on your 3DS using the app, just remember that it's the Launcher.dat which does stuff, not the browser so as long as you have the official one you shouldn't have any problem

No, im afraid i wont ever have access the site at one point... Like they might block it in spite of sky3ds users.. I have the app working perfectly..

I was just wondering if its been copied so even if Gateway took it down, there would be an alternative... :)

Its not working for me I downloaded the app got it contacted on my 3ds and working but it will not let me load the go gatway hack at all :( It will load for ever and ever and ever then it will say communication error over and over and over.

I got it working I left out a number on the URL!!! thanks
