Very nice, cool that it's not required to modify every module now and THEN have it not work. Now if only this could be done for Wii U.. *cough*

You can do it by yourself, i don't know if a SSL .rpl exist but if there's something like this, you can patch it directly in memory using kernel exploit + homebrew

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Thanks a lot @SciresM for helping me because i'm a noob, i can now start documenting nintendo servers :) (Now, i have fully documentated nasc.nintendowifi.net HTTP side )

How do I go about patching this? Need to look at some data going out/in from a game.
Have no idea where to start patching this though, i am on luma CFW

Godmode9 > 1:/title/00040130/00002f02/*.app > ncch image > mount > G:/exefs/.code (copy this file to SD and then to PC)
3dstool -uvf .code --compress-type blz --compress-out code.bin

Now you have the file to feed to SciresM's patch (which also requires to have armips installed in your path - or you could run armips manually instead of through the makefile)

Then you can use your CFW's .code.bin overlay feature ("game patching") if it has one, or build your custom module if you really want to have it permanently enabled!

Also, do note that this patch is only for SSL driver v8198 (released as part of operating system 9.6+)

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but I don't know, where I could ask instead^^

I've installed the patch on the ssl module and moved the patched version to sdcard:/luma/titles/0004013000002F02/code.bin. The option "Enable game patching" is activated, but when I visit a HTTPS site over my fiddler proxy, it still warns about the invalid certificate. Did I forget something? My N3DSXL runs on 11.4.0-37E and Luma 8.1.1.

Could someone look into making a tool that checks whether a Pokemon passes the official legality check (server-side, not PKHeX) by sending data to the official servers? Or is that not possible?
Just curious, since a lot of Pokemon that are considered illegal by PKHeX are still compatible online.

P.S. The reason I'm bringing this up in this thread is because the 3DS-SSL-Patch could be used to determine which servers are communicated with for legality checks... right?
