Homebrew Reinstalling an Installed CIA?

So one of my games were having an error message after the 3DS logo showed like this:
"An error has occurred. Hold Down the Power Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again."

I encountered this before on one of my games and repaired it by uninstall and installing it again. But this time, that game is large and my card reader sucks, writing at 1mbps. So I want to know if its possible to reinstall it without deleting it? Like the Repair Software function in eshop?

I believe the 3DS rejects already installed titles. But I can be wrong when it comes to newer FBI versions that asks to overwrite. All I can tell you is give it a try and see what message it throws at you.
