Hacking rein reinmoon

I am trying to backup a save from an original cartridge to my r4i. I am using firmware 2.4. I have tried rein and it says sorry cannot support this type, type 3. reinmoon doesn’t even boot one of them just scrolls the same text when booting and another version the latest version stop on font`12.gif not found. Is there any way of backing up my original save off my ds games?

Rein and reinmoon are old tools, these days people either use something like savsender or rudolph's backup tools.

Your main problem will be that you are using a DS slot cart and they can not be unplugged and plugged back in at will so you will either have to get a GBA slot cart (be it DLDI capable or something like a 3 in 1) or use wifi and send it to your computer.
