I came here from your comment in my thread, knowing there is a solution is a big relief. However, I’m not very experienced with code or hex editor or things like that. Is there a tutorial on how to do this anywhere? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi I know I'm late to the thread but I've spent the better part of My day trying to get the chaos' as far as region unlocking My WII, downloading Nintendont and and by some miracle finding the rom to the game you're talking about but alas My efforts have failed. I am wondering if you dump the region unlocked version you've created. (I'm not very tech savvy in this area) I would really appreciate it if you could. Have a good day.

If you can load cheats with swiss in other discs, then this should also work. But if it doesn't work and SA2/DX shows a blank GBA in the Chao Transporter, you could try loading the codes directly from the AR, that works in Dolphin at least.

After coming here through GitHub and a bunch of Google-Fu, I figured I'd put in some easy instructions as to getting this to work on a NTSC Gamecube running Swiss. You will still need a link cable and GBA to hold the chao while switching from the Demo to either SA2B/DX.
Wherever you are running Swiss from there will be a folder called "swiss>cheats>..." that is full of .txt files. This is where Swiss pulls it's cheat codes from and where you will be saving the patch for the demo.
Open your text editor of preference and create a new .txt file and save it as the Demo's Game ID. In this case for the Demo disc, save the file as "D55J01.txt". Next, take the following code and paste it into the blank text file.

Now save the "D55J01.txt" file in the "swiss>cheats>..." directory again. And you're ready to go! Just boot Swiss, activate the patch cheat code while launching the demo, and load a chao into your GBA. Switch to SA2B/DX and use the pickup feature of the Chao Garden and your chao and rings should be available for pickup! I haven't tested the language codes personally and don't know if they work/need tweaking. Thank you so much @SuperrSonic for being an absolute wizard! ^.^
