So when I'm getting a game for my ntsc console, the region free games are still ok?
They have no more chance of getting banned than regular ntsc games?
For example everyone's all hyped up for the street fighter and halo wars releases yet they are both region free and ntsc j releases, are they alright to play?

if it is regeionfree, you can order a retail opy from Europe or Asia, and still play it on any console

if the retail verion works they couldnt ban you for it ! It would make NO SENSE!!!

I'd stay away from region free. Since no one really knows how Microsoft bans, they could suspect that a majority of people playing region free games are flashed, so they could look into that area more. I'd stay as far under the radar as possible by:

A) Dumping your own games
B) Sticking with your own region
C) Always wait until the game has been released.

After having 2 consoles banned previously im now doing all of the above, A quick trip to blockbuster when the game has been released. Its easier to dump it yourself then run the risk of a dirty copy off of the internet!

If you download games you never know the true source of an iso and there have been a few "review" copys of games uploaded recently.
