I dont know if I have put this in the right spot

I dont feel safe making my own jig I was wondering if there was anyone in the lower mainland of BC that I could buy one from ?

just do the foil method, its easy and you can just keep it in the joycon if you want. Plus of that is that you dont have to install autorcm which will drain your battery even if you turn it "off" unless you turn it off and then hold power for 15 seconds. You just have to hold vol up + power for 3 seconds then stick your phone/dongle in to inject payload.

Use a piece of wire. You literally just make a small "U" and stick it in. It will want to go right to pins 1 and 10 because it's trying to straighten out. Plus most wire is copper which is soft and what the pins are already made of.

People really need to stop recommending tinfoil, you risk frying something since pin 4 holds voltage.

I'm pretty sure you could buy one on eBay even if you have to import it from the US, Britain or China.

In the case of the former 2 countries, you'd probably receive it in under a week.

Don't do the tinfoil method. It is the most dangerous method yet.

Uh no it's not, the jig is much more dangerous since there is the big possibility of damaging the pins in the long run while the tinfoil wont do that

Just use a paperclip and touch one end to pin 10 and the other end to your finger

Does that REALLY work? Cause i'm pretty sure you have to have one ground connection. Unless pin 10 IS the ground connection

Yes, it works for me every time

Never said it wasn't safe, but it's a pain in the backside to setup and tinfoil tears easily (I tried it once).

If you make it thin sure but that's why you make it thick so that it doesn't tear easily. I've been using that method for months now and it's always worked for me. Doesn't always work the first time but it always works

When I made mine, it got stuck in the Switch after coming loose from the Joy-con and then it tore trying to get it out. But now I either jig, or make sure the consoles fully charged for auto-RCM. B-)

Never had that happen to me. Sure i had it get stuck one but i removed it easily and it didn't tore. For the most part it sticks really well against the joycon itself
