Gaming Rage SKIDROW won't start

I install and update (skidrow update 1) three disc version of RAge. It shows me some error after running exe file.
Do I need a steam for that? Maybe some divx/net libraries?
How it is running on your?

it should have a crack for you to put into the install dir. and the steam dir. if it uses steam i dunno i haven't messed with it yet....

I'm not quite sure if this is allowed...talking about being a pirate is one thing but asking for help on pirating is sort of another. So I'm going to report this just to make sure...
