So we're pretty sure there's not gonna be one for the DS, right? Not even an AM and/or FM emulator?

Other than Dissonance.

Its impossible. The DS doesn't have radio signals anywere inside it.
This part is true. To get actual AM/FM radio, you would need a radio tuner, which the DS does not have. It's strictly a hardware issue.

QUOTEAnd even with Wifi we can't stream music
Nonsense. DSOrganize, Dissonance, and several other applications can stream music from Internet radio stations. Even DSLinux can do it with the right commands.

I tried Dissonance and didn't get it to work at all.
I haven't heard of DSOrganize being able to do that.
I know radio stations have websites where you can listen to their music live.

But I think it is possible because nowadays most headphones have the FM transmitter built into them.

2 problems with this

1. "FM Transmitter" You mean headphones can send radio signals now?
2. Accepting this mistake headphones do not have the FM recievers built into them, they are just used as an aerial to recieve the signals (any piece of wire can recieve radio signals)

I'd say that a DS radio could be possible, it just requires a way of tuning the stations, decoding the audio and playing it back to the user. Certainly this is possible through a CPU?
