Introduction

The R4iTT was created around 2010. The initial batch of cards was based on the DSTTi, which supported both the NDS and the DSi, while the later cards were labeled as "R4iTT NEW" and "R4iTT 3DS," which were based on the Acekard and had backwards compatibility with the release of the 3DS via cirumventing Nintendo's flashcart blacklist through subsequent firmware updates. The R4iTT team went under several company names, including R4ids.cc and PK3DS; these cards function exactly the same as the R4iTT, but with their own unique features. For example, the PK3DS can be upgraded by transferring firmware updates to the microSD card and power the flashcart with a proprietary cable.

The kernel is based on the Wood kernel, with only minor alterations, such as 3D animations while selecting icons and background music. BL2CK, TWiLight Menu++ and AKMenu Next support this card; however, installing YSMenu is strongly discouraged as you can brick the card, and therefore requires performing a hotswap to unbrick it (if you have an Original DS/DS Lite model that is).
