Hacking R4 "Hyper-Upgrade"

Ah, ok. I seem to be running into people saying W00T M3, blah blah blah. I also found out Sakura doesnt work on the R4. Gah'Dammit.

Now, my real question is... If you don't want to spend a dime on it, but you want your R4 to be at 120% tip-top performance *using the original, non-clone, non-pro R4*, what steps can you take as an experienced R4 user to pimp out and ultimately give your R4 a "Hyper - Upgrade" that would at least SORTA match the M3 and other various flashware?

Remember, I'm a cheap bastard *with the money to get a new flash but i'm too cheapy and lazy*, and i would preferably like to spend 0 dollars.


OHHH and i've been searching millennia for the MUST-HAVE GAME LIST FOR DS, because frankly, bleach dark souls and YGO champ '08 just aren't cutting the fabric of boredom any more.

Why you need a ultimate R4?
My R4 works pretty good without YSMenu
and another stuff.

Well there's nothing much that can improve its compatibility with things besides YSMenu. But on the bright side, you can try out DSision 2 so that you can have a new GUI. It's pretty awesome looking, especially compared to the 4 .bmp skins that R4 regularly run on. The only down side to DSision is that it's a bit slow, doesn't support cheat unless you load YSMenu, and can be difficult to install (there's already a thread in the R4 section to guide through the installation).

Who needs cheats anyways! I'm currently loving my R4's new gui and its new skinning capabilities, and that's pretty huge since I have an AceKard 2i to compare it to.

P.S. It really is slow compared to the normal R4, but it is one HELL of a GUI improvement. Kudos to you, spinal_cord.
