Hacking R4 + EZFA?

i have an old EZFA 128 flash cart (borden's red cart) for GBA. i now also have a DS lite and an R4. can i use the EZFA for DS homebrew?

In theory yes, the R4 should act as a passme. But you can only have 1 DS application on the EZ-FA at a time (the menu doesn't work for DS stuff so you have to turn off multiROM when writing to the cart). I also remember hearing you need to patch the DS roms first, but I'm not sure what with

best thing to do with the EZFA, is to use it for homebrew stuff that won't run on the R4. Being that it is only 16 MB, it's not much good for actual DS games. That's essentially what I've been doing with me XGFlash 256.
