Hacking R4 Clone - Which to Get

Okay, so my friend is gonna buy a flashcart... but he can't buy from websites... so he is gonna purchase from a physical store here in portugal...

he has 3 choices of carts:

R4i SDHC 1.4.1 - www.r4i-sdhc.com ( i think its the red box one) - Price: 9.50€

He wants a flashcart that can play Recent Games... he isnt a complete noob as he owned a M3 DS Real...

He would like a flash cart that could use Wood R4... or atleast YSMenu ( as he can play lastest games with YSMenu)

So, from this list and taking in count the things i just said... which one should he get? And if possible, tell me what are the compatible firmwares with each one please.

I think this one has the best support out of the 3 you mentioned

So... R4i SDHC 1.4.1 can use Ysmenu... can it use Wood? even if it is 1.25?

Only R4iDSN(r4idsn.com) & r4ids gold(r4ids.cn) can support WOOD.
The latest version is V1.30.

Actually... My M3i Zero uses wood R4 v1.25... by Gaboros... what i wanted to know is R4i SDHC can run any time of wood? even if its just 1.25...

anyways, i need more opinions guys!

Yep, definitely the R4i SDHC 1.4.1. Best support, can support 1.4.2 with an update, and is able to run YSMenu. The R4i-Gold you mentioned is not able to run wood, and therefore is not a good clone. The other card don't buy either.

Those types of stores generally either don't have those kinds of carts, or overprice them severely. Buying them physically in most places is a total rip off.

Out of those three, the R4i SDHC 1.4.1 is the lesser of three evils.

and the answer to why the store only sells those... my friend cant buy from websites... and he is kinda short on money... so the shipping would be costful and he would not be able to cover it... while he can get that r4i sdhc for now, for 10€...

Go for the R4i SDHC 1.4.1, i have it and it's good for many games, i haven't updated to 1.4.2 so i can't tell you if it works but i think it's possible, also without any custom firmware (i think i have 1.35) you can run Pokemon Black/White without problems just to take an example, and also YsMenu works great with the latests Retro's update, i think it's a good choice if you can't afford (or found...) a supercard, acekard, etc..., i'm from mexico so i know your situation

Actually its not for me, its for a friend... i use a M3i Zero, the 1st one, and i got it when M3 Team still rulled.. i use the M3 Quad Boot by ALGCB

The SDHC can't run wood, while the Gold can (r4ids.cn has the firmware)

The guy has just said his friend can't buy online, so that does NOT help! Plus the R4Gold he listed can't run wood.
As I've already said his friend should get the R4i-SDHC.

Oops, my bad. I didn't read the entire post thoroughly, I guess. I new he couldn't order online, though, just didn't know which R4i gold it was.

Get the SDHC, then.
