ROM Hack r4 cheat code editor stops working

hey i got a usrcheat.dat from gbatemp and my ds hangs up wen i try to open d cheat menu 4 GTA chinatown wars.
so i tried to remove some cheats by loading it into a CCE(cheat code editor) but it says that it stops working because a problem caused it to stop working.
then i tried xml and it read it but it hangs up when it saves

Use Yasu's cheat code editor (R4CCE) rather than the 'official' editor from the R4 site.

thanks can't believe i didnt think of yasu before now the cheats and editor are working fine
