Hacking Quick Assist Needed!

Hey gang, almost ready to test out my first burn on Gamma, but I'm unsure about the burn specifics.

I'm using imgburn to burn a .iso (Tatsunoko vs Capcom in particular, with a Maxell DVD-R). I burn as a Data CD correct? Any other specifics need to be checked or unchecked in the pre-burn options? I've worked with 360 burns in the past, so I'm a little unsure as to how complex the settings are for Wii burns.

Also, I've heard that Gamma blocks any Wii Updates from the burned disc, but I'm not sure if this is true or not. I'm working off a Softmodded Wii, so there's no need for extra programs such as BrickBlocker or the like, correct?

burn as image file, otherwise your set. Gamma blocks update.

You could use Active ISO Burner, much easier. I use it and burnt at 8x Verbatim DVD-R and they work perfectly! Enjoy and have a great holiday man!

yap all good, but you don't need to burn at 8x , you can use the speed that it says on the dvd

yap all good, but you don't need to burn at 8x , you can use the speed that it says on the dvd

I know lol, I just told him what I used. ^^ 8x is a good write speed right?

The best write speed depends on your burner, media, and wii disc drive. Therefore it isn't the same for everyone. Check the FAQ's or several of the threads which explaining how to determine your best burning speed.
