Hey guys, i recently received my SX Pro in the mail, ive been doing lots of reading regarding everything however there are a number of questions i cant find the answers to. I am yet to use it as i want to have all the information before doing so.

I keep seeing dont connect to the internet with my switch but dont I have to be connected to use SX Pro?
or do i load it on the micro sd then install in airplane mode?? very confused.

'Connected to the internet' meaning playing online? or just connecting at all?
What is the process, do i use sx pro, install CFW then put the console in airplane mode???

What are the steps? Does someone have a foolproof tutorial?

Emunand on SX Pro is no good? Hekate is what i need to use?

    thanks

The SX Pro generates a license-request file the first time you use it. You either connect the SX Pro online to activate your license or you take the license-request file as well as your license number to their website to activate it outside of your Switch.

TX's EmuNAND is not the traditional EmuNAND solution the scene was looking forward to. Rather than being emulated from the SD card, it is emulated from within the NAND itself which is objectively more detectable than if it was on the SD card. While no one has been banned for using it, I personally would not use it but others can attest to its "safety". It is up to you if you wish to use it.

Not sure what you want out of Hekate though. It doesn't have an EmuNAND solution but it does have a variety of useful features such as dumping/restoring the NAND. Although SX OS also supports dumping/restoring the NAND, I personally trust Hekate more since it was the original NAND dumper tool.

As for a "foolproof" tutorial, you can just follow the one on their website: https://sx.xecuter.com/

So their is no preferred method essentially they are as safe as each other?

Okay so I can run SX Pro then install cfw. After which I should go into flight mode?

Im still wrapping my head around the whole NAND/EmuNAND thing, would you recommend then getting Hekate and drumping the NAND BEFORE I do anything such as load backup games? or its irrelevant?

    1. Enter the CFW via the Pro dongle and the jig.
    2. Activate your SX OS licence online via the built in updater (in the gallery).
    3. After you're told to reboot, reboot the console and enjoy your CFW.
SX OS has "Stealth mode" enabled by default, and what that does is it disables all communication to Nintendo's servers meaning that Nintendo is not getting any of your data. IMHO stealth mode is better than airplane mode because you can use your joycons wirelessly whereas in airplane mode you couldn't.

Some people don't want to risk getting banned so they chose to activate it offline however this was before the advent of Stealth Mode which I believe you can activate the license with.

As previously stated as well as explained by the user above, SX OS has Stealth Mode which is basically Airplane Mode but for Nintendo-related online services.

And the first thing you should ever do with a console is backup the NAND (as well as boot0/boot1). The last thing you want is a $300 paperweight.
If you enable wireless Bluetooth in Airplane Mode, you can use the Joy-Cons wireless.
