I'm thinking of downgrading my 3DS to 9.2, but people say that your 3DS can get bricked and stuff. What is getting bricked? Please, I'm a noob at this.

Bricked system cannot be used. I simply doesn't work. You can destroy your firmware by incorrect downgrading.

its when the 3ds nand gets courrpted and the 3ds does not boot showing a black screen with only blue light or an error message poping up

It's when your 3ds cannot be booted. it just won't load. At all.

A softbrick is when you can bring it back with recovery mode. (Hold L+R+A+Up while booting)
