I saw someone release Max Payne 1 on the homebrew store, and they said it has bugs and glitches, but it was playable. It got me curious.

Is there a way we can theoretical graphically downgrade a pc game and make it run on the Switch? How would that even work? I know the Switch is a completely different system than the pc so im not expecting miracles and i know the answer is probably a 99% no.

I would greatly appreciate your time and effort explaining it to me :)

it depends if you are ready to port a complete game to the switch then yes its possible

but its definetly not for the faint of heart you will need good coding skills and overall experience with different architectures

If it isnt too expensive, why not? I wouldnt mind paying someone for a service that i would want.
and thats the catch it will be expensive especially if youre the only one who pays the bounty

let us take a simple game like pong as example " pong" would be 40-120 workhours per hour you would pay 8-15$
that would be 320 - 1,800$

That would be nice, lol !
Imagine playing Warcraft III on the go, Age of Empire, Oblivion etc...
But yeah, so much pain and effort for maybe something like 3 hours of playing haha !

Do you know any professional that i could pay to have to this done for me?
You would probably need to commission a software development company tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars depending on the complexity of the game. You would also need written permission from the developer's company. You're better off buying a laptop or Steam Deck.

If open source, you can recompile it for the Switch (you'll have to change some bits for different system APIs), but closed source no because Windows uses x86 processors and the Switch is an ARM processor.
