Homebrew question about youtube for the wii

is it so hard for developers to make a youtube application/homebrew for our wii :'(

Yes, the reason is simple, YouTube is closed source, run by Google. If Google sees no potential in the Wii, they won't update the YouTube app for Wii. We don't have access to YouTube to make an app. I've not been in the Wii scene much in the last year, but did the YouTube web-page stop working? If the YouTube app and page ceases to function, you're screwed and no YouTube for you.:yaywii:

Because someone is willing to spend effort on a 3rd party client for that platform (also considering said client needs frequent updates to keep up with Youtube changes)

Wouldn't be easier to just hack the wad. file and make it work again?
