Hardware Question about the blue X button on the Xbox controller

I am just curious about something, I have looked all over online through google and bing and cant seem to find anything about this.

How come the X button on the Xbox controller is blue and not green like the main color of the Xbox logos and such?

Maybe because they wanted green for the 'accept' button?
