Hacking Question about sd card and rx tools

I heard i have to format any sd card bigger than 32gb. Is this true? Just got my 2ds today I plan on using rx tools to put cfw on it.

lastly i heard i have to use .cia files instead of .3ds is this is true? and how does one exactly install .cia files for use.

You should format any SD card before you use it, not just the ones bigger than 32gb. You install .cia files with FBI, which you can inject to the Health and Safety app from rxTools menu. After you inject it, open the H&S app, choose a .cia file from your SD card and after the installation is complete, the game will show up on your Home menu.

If you need to convert your .3ds files to .cia, just look up Simple CIA converter on this forum and follow the procedure described there.
