Hi if i installed (unfortunately) dz tinfoil yesterday on my switch but then i've read the whole story about the cert stealing... I've just installed it and opened it but i've totally NOT created any of the .txt files as the dz guide on github suggests...
Is my switch safe? Could the homebrew still have stolen something from my switch? Any suggestion? Thanks

I've also read it in a thread here, but didn't have any network log, or proof to the claim. Maybe it was in dz (delete thread now) or in a tinfoil name fight thread. I'll try to find it.
I think it said that he was involved in a cert stealing project, not sure it talked about another project or dz. and yes, it's only accusation, no proof.

edit: I didn't find the post.

But as you all maybe could imagine, the cert stealing thing could be linked to the keys.txt files provided by you creating them or simply just by having opened the app?

In other words do you think my switch is in danger/risk just by having opened this app?

There is no cert stealing. Just people trolling you. I am actually impressed by how many people I triggered by releasing free software.

If you think about it for a second, why would I release a malicious app using my real name, with a real photo?

So why all people exploded saying it has cert stealing? Just because its a closed source software?

Partially, at least according to that reddit post. After reading it fully and not just skimming it, people are pissed at @blawar's general attitude in a now closed thread, saying he acted like a child, started slinging insults in PM against everyone in the scene and other things as well as "stealing" the tinfoil name for his tittle manager
