Hacking Question about 3DS Region Changing

In about a week or so, i’m going to buy a japanese 3DS LL (old model). I’m planning on region swapping this aswell. If I remove the SD Card from my console (while it’s powered off) to add files from my PC, will my console still brick? Thanks in advance

it should not brick no, I have a region swapped 2ds LL that I use now for cheat making.
