I just got a PSTV with FW3.35, and I was able to use the APE exploit to install TN-V.
I would like to install Unity, but I am unable to because I am unable connect to PSN without updating to FW3.55.
How do I do this.

Also I would like to know how would I go about creating a bubble to get to TN-V so I do not need to keep running the APE game.

Thank you!!! I was able to make a Tn-V bubble. Still trying to figure out how to get native homebrew on the PSTV on version 3.35. It is hard to do that when I can't connect the PSTV to a pc or connect to PSN unless I update.

Since Rejuvenate for Unity uses Wifi, you can actually use the >3.20 Unity Install Method to install PSM Dev for Unity onto your console, update the app to the latest version (1.06) and install VitaDefilerClient to run your Homebrew! :)

If you figure it out, let me know :P.
The method Voxel Studios has suggested works to install it, but the app won't launch as it needs to update, but will only update if you're on the latest firmware.

Can you go into a little more detail on this? Are you saying even a PS3 wouldn't be required if using the Unity version of Rejuvenate? And then you'd use the update trick to install VitaDefilerClient by transferring 1.05 and then starting to update to 1.06?

Will this guide get me on the right path? http://hackinformer.com/psmplus/ui/start.html

EDIT: Looks like installing Unity still requires the update trick, unless I'm missing something. For that I was using this guide on Wololo: http://wololo.net/2015/07/19/how-to-install-psm-dev-for-unity-on-ps-vita-firmware-3-20-and-above/

I take it this means I misinterpreted your post Voxel? I was hoping for a method that didn't require an app/game that needed an update, since I don't know of a free app that I can get through a PS3.

I have this problem where I try following the guides, but I can't get any apps. So I have no apps to update because I cant connect to PSN because I need to update the fw to 3.55. This is a new PSTV on 3.35. I used the TV-N bubble install method. Is there any other method to install PSM dev assistant? Every search I have done shows the same method using the email and update app.

Have you got a PS3? If you download a demo on your PS3 (Terraria for example), you can transfer it to your PSTV. From there, use QCMA and VitaUpdateBlocker on your PC, transfer the game from your PSTV to the PC. Find the folder that your transfers go to, and open the folder for the game you just backed up. Go into it, and delete the "patch folder, then transfer it from the PC back to the PSTV. This will strip any updates from the game, and should prompt you to update it on your console.

Thanks for the tip!!! I did everything you said, but I am not prompted to update. I am using the fat princess demo by the way. I believe it is because I cant connect to psn. I need to update the fw before I can connect to psn.

Even without being connected to PSN, you should be prompted to update, as I'm in the same boat as you. Have you still got the proxy running? That'll block updates for games showing as well. Failing that, are you sure that Fat Princess' demo has an update? To be sure, try Terraria or Minecraft, as I know both of those demos have updates.

OK bud, and I will report back. I did have to delete the patch folder on far princess though.

OK I tried Terraria, and I deleted the patch folder. I refreshed, and sent it back to the PSTV. I disabled the proxy, and opened Terraria. I do not see the update.

That's really strange, and I'm not sure what else to tell you. If you press triangle on the bubble, and select "Information", what does the version number say? About the only other thing I can suggest is to do a full reboot of the PSTV, and perhaps try connecting to a different network such as a mobile hotspot. I totally get your struggle though, I'd been battling this Unity process for the last week or so, and just had a "Eureka" moment yesterday that finally set things in motion.

It is version 1.07. Thanks for trying to help. I hope I have my own "Eureka" moment. I will link with my phone and see if that works.

I was able to update unity, but I am having a problem updating PSM dev. I try updating, but I can't get past waiting to install.

For the PSTV, you don't actually need PSM Dev installed. PSM Dev only supports USB connections, which the PSTV doesn't use. You want to use Unity exclusively for Rejuvenate.

I have been trying to install Rejuvenate, but I need to install the client. Every tutorial I find says that you need a vita which I do not have. I was able to get my license for PSM+, but that is as far as I can go. Much of the info I find is for the Vita. I really need a point in the right direction.
