*************(site "redd**" has the most expensive stuff listed, and some of that isn't very good and those controllers are not produced anymore)
Device Power Off, Plugged in and then Power ON:
Working:
MAYFLASH Universal Adapter For Xbox360/Ps3/Ps2/Ps Vita Tv/Pc Usb (has the ps2 port on one side, and usb port on other side, with 6 small light switches on bottom)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089OBLDO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@play Controller
https://www.gamestop.com/video-game...tation-3-black-wired-controller/10136266.html
(you need the MAYFLASH Universal Adapter, or the controller will not work, otherwise works perfectly)
.............
.............
("PDP" Rock Candy Controller May work, haven't tested) ("PDP" @play, may also work, haven't tested, same components as one that works ......... https://www.gamestop.com/video-game...on-3-new-black-wired-controller/11040157.html) ("PDP" or @play controllers solid buttons and reponse)
.............
.............
(working without mayflash adaptor)
Snakebyte Controller (plug and play) (buttons are hard to press, not a good brand)
walmart.com/ip/Snakebyte-Sunflex-Wired-PS3-Controller-Black/21063198
Not Working (not working by itself or with MAYFLASH UNIVERSAL ADAPTOR)
(may work with more expensive adaptor? who's willing to test that out?)
@play Controller with "ps2 connector and ps3 usb connector" (serial 064-019) DOES NOT WORK, with or without the mayflash adaptor
Dreamgear Shadow (solid buy for ps3/pc, very slight less sensitive than pdp/@play controllers, for the price)
https://www.amazon.com/DREAMGEAR-Dr...s=ps3+controller+shadow&qid=1591648597&sr=8-4
Power A mini PRO Elite (have to press down on buttons, not hard but firm, not good for some ppl)
https://www.amazon.com/Mini-Pro-Eli...ITE+mini+ps3+controller&qid=1591648698&sr=8-1
Power A Wired (joysticks squeaky in some areas) (serial number...1429765-01)
amazon.com/gp/product/B01LB4KGU2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
(Generally wireless controllers don't work with the adaptors, or PSTV, do have a Power A wired standard for ps3 coming soon to test out, it may or may not work)
...............
...............
Best to buy a "PDP/@play" (same brand) from gamestop (ebay/amazon etc). (controller without the ps2 and ps3 ports, one with just ps3 port). Or. the more expensive stuff, isn't really sold that is listed elsewhere as "working", reports of the "MAYFLASH Universal Adaptor" i tested with these controllers working with a CLONED XBOX360 controller, but I'm not going to verify that, there are many brands of clone xbox360 controller!!!!!!!!!!
(the "power a mini pro elite" seems to work fine on ps3, but on a "raspberry pi 4" and perhaps a PC, buttons have to be presssed firm to respond................snakebyte had hard to press right shoulder button, and noisey sticks................I'd say the "dreamgear shadow", worked good in ps3, not as responsive as "PDP/@play", that is probably same as official ps3 controller, plus the one model that is listed working with MAYFLASH puts the ps3 into service mode if you need to do that for modding, sure other do to, but, not the one with the "ps2 and ps3 connectors")
(pstv with henkaku 3.60 firmware, sdcard 128 scandisk, firmware is probably not important)
