Note that the current code is a proof of concept. It doesn't work with the current version of the backup manager but does allow you to launch games directly from the /app_home/PS3_Game utility.

It's somewhat unfortunate we're not seeing a lot of progress in improving the backup manger itself with features like this, or NTFS support. However baby steps like this are good overall.
 
I don't think the backupmanager's source has been released, the original team would have to make the changes or someone else is going to have to make a back up manager!
 
Awesome! Thanks to the person who amended the backup manager!

I have been reading mixed reports on compatibility. Unfortunately Brandon has not yet updated the 84 port and I have not been able to use the updated groove payload. Can anyone comment on the new backup manager?

Sources don't need to be released in order to modify a program.

The progress in the hacking scene is so exciting!
