Hardware ps4 plays films but not games

hey all
so just bought a ps4, and have found out that the blue ray films work on it but the games arent
i took it apart and cleaned it out . its a BDP025 lens
it was on 4.06 but updated to 4.55 and still problems
im guessing its the lens. anyone else had same problems?
funny thing is i tried doing a search and no one has this problem
are my lens on their way out ?

It could be the lens.

I remember people having a similar problem on the PS3, they did a system format and it ended up working after. You could try that to see what happens, but it's more than likely a lens failure.

Tried it and rebuilt database and even updated to 4.55 from 4.0.6 but nothing. It worked once when standing vertically . when it went horizontal that was it.
What I want to know is why films work but not games now. Horizontal or vertical films work sometimes but games nothing
