It is on a few NZB sites, I just grabbed it and there is two different versions, one for EU and one for US.
EU_stealth_PS3Hax_BackupManager
US_stealth_PS3Hax_BackupManager

ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂSo apparently Sony can detect the ID of whatever game
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ(or homebrew) being ran when logged into PSN; that said,
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂkeytor has released a new Backup Manager with the ôLAUN-12345?
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂID changed to that of Modern Warfare 2. Whether or not Sony
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂhas other means of detecting Backup Manager is unknown at
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂthis time.

ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂPerhaps creating a new user on your PS3 and never logging
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂinto PSN is your best bet, or just buy another PS3 and keep
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂit at 3.41 for PSGroove purposes. My spidey-senses tell me a
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂmandatory firmware update is coming real soon.

ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂHow to install it? If you have Package Manager working from
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂthe XMB just load the appropriate pkg ù two are included,
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂone US and one EU ù from a mass storage device.

This isn't the EoF. Either make it not hidden or don't post at all. You can't expect us to search every post for hidden meanings.

Now back on topic.

And by grace, what should this thing do?

"Crack: Mathieulh and RichDevX"
I can't see Mathieulh actually doing something like that. And what on earth would have they cracked?

I smell a crappy repack of things floating off the internets. And I suspect that this is just keytor's Backup Manager edit.

Its obviously gna be MW2 since there is on average these days still some 400,000-500,000 ppl that play that game daily during peek times, so yeah makes sense to me

Banning is probably a extreme as of now, but of course firmware updates in the future will block this for sure.

again pirating games online isn't worth it, heck there is probably like 1 or 2 games i'd like to actually play online so again this doesn't appeal to me, would be a shame to loose ALL online functions completely

What's this about? The PSP is completely different to the PS3, the same software wont work on each, and nor does it need to.

EDIT: Also, surely Sony can just detect whether the game ID is right one or not, so it doesn't matter if its an official game's ID, unless you're paying THAT game, it'll still be flagged.

if you boot this, it'll say backup manager for a split second befor eit becomes modern warfare 2 so probably not safe...at least if it's the same one as i'm thinking about.

Just by saying that it has been cracked by Mathieulh and RichDevX demonstrates that whoever has written this NFO doesn't know jack about the entire thing.
