@Vidboy10
i know what hes talkin about and its is a very funny joke if you think of bootlegs and the sort... you know, like the "nintendo 64s" and the "super neses" that you would find at a flea market, swap meet, or almost any store in nyc, they would sell those and it would just be the shell of a console with a bunch of pre-arcade looking games on it... lol

What do you have against B-Blue? The last two thread I went to B-Blue made a good joke and you for some reason don't like it and feel the need tell everyone you don't. Get over it.

I think if they really have plans on redesigning the PS3 (which I personally believe they surely have), they should not just make it slimmer... they should change the whole dimension!

What I mean is not from 32,5cm×9,8cm×27,4cm to 32,5cm×4,8cm×27,4cm rather making it smaller in every aspect...

am telling ma aunt to buy me one right now(shes in philipinnes now and i hope she is close to greenhills *crosses fingers*
damn its still night there

Really now if there is a PS3 Slim I very much doubt some random little shop in the bloody Philippines is going to get it first.

I suggest she does not. A lot of things there are... what I would call "does not meet standards"
And it's only 4pm here or maybe you're talking about another place....

very interesting, i wish i knew the weight so we could determine if it was a shell or not

i think it is real as there are USB ports, POSSIBLE disc readers and separate outlets for power and visuals (fakes usually only have a pre-connected power and visuals connecter). to how it got there its most likely the shop keeper stumbled upon it and stole it or something like that.

It is fake.. already know about it last week. Its fake. Sony will never released this picture. It will be reveal soon but this picture found in the Philippines is a hoax!

It's the Philippines people ffs...
It has more rampant piracy than fucking Hong Kong.

It's probably a SNES clone or one of those 1 billion in 1 games on a chip type deals

Why the fuck would a legit PS3 slim show up in some Sonic the Hedgehog village in your 3rd world country anyway?

People are SO fucking stupid and gullible fffuuuuuuuuuuu

I also find that offensive, even though I don't understand what that means

. Also SEGA consoles weren't a hit back then.

Anyway this topic is to inform that something is here in the Philippines and it is like a warning that Filipino Sony fanboys are up to something. I hated em sony fanboys.

Also if a mod sees this and think that there are too many racism post like that ^ please close this. And yes I am against my country and posted this thread just because of stupid Sony fanboys.

As a resident of HK, i will admit that in shopping wise here really sucks.
Because you dont know if it's fake or not. that's why you compare a stores with another stores prices if your in a mall.

i think the suppliers of the pirates here come from either hong kong or china..i thik we just like piracy more thats why its more rampant...plus the government doesnt take a shit about it here...at least in the game piracy department

i'd think that that ps3 silm is more likely a fat ps2 with custom case

EDIT form my post below

the same reason your kangaroos cant fetch you one

Its purely fake, look at the ps3 logo on the box, its bold with curved edges, then look at the (fat) ps3 logo and u can tell its fake.

EDIT: The size of it is 120gb, which is not one of the standard sizes of the (fat) ps3, so why fit a bigger HD in a smaller console? I thought it was: smaller console, smaller space, smalled price tag.
guess not (unless its fake)

LOL the physical size of a laptop hdd stays the same regardless of its capacity. plain and simple (as microsoft found out with the original xbox), it's cheaper for companies such as sony to use a "standard" sized hdd rather than something that a company like western digital, seagate or fujitsu is producing exclusively for them.

try and find a 40 or 80GB laptop drive from any of your every day retailers. my guess is that you'll have a hard time. and if you do, compare the price of it vs. say a 120, 250 or 500GB drive and you'll probably be scratching your head as to why anyone would pay more for a drive with less capacity.

as the the physical size of the supposed new, slimmer PS3, has anyone noticed that all sony is done is removed the psu from inside of the case to an external brick ala the playstation to ps one and the playstation 2 to ps2 systems which came before it. this is not so far fetched as everyone seems to think it is.

more than likely, the major changes (other than the form factor) that sony has been able to consolidate the number of solid state components on the pc board and in doing so, achieved a cost savings. sony went through 15 iterations of motherboard revisions with the playstation 2 and microsoft over 10 with the xbox, each time reducing the number of components and saving money.

it costs these companies a lot of money each time they have to re-lay out and manufacture a new multi-layer pc board, so in the end, the revisions have to justify the end result.
