Hi everyone!
I have a very very strange problem with my SCPH-50004 PS2,it simply won´t read the HDD. I own two PS2s, they are the same model and have the same board (GH-023), one will load FHDB without problems and the other one simply will do nothing, using the same adapter and the same HDD. I have checked all fuses from PS1 to PS16 and all of them are working, no idea what´s happening here.
Any suggestions on this?

What kind of hard drive are you using?

IDE or SATA with an adapter board?

Check capacitor C503 (or C545) for 12v, and capacitor C507 (or C544) for 5v. They're both ceramic SMD caps (or the alt ones, electrolytics) and should be located near the expansion bay port.

By the way, you have a major typo. GH-32 is a slim motherboard. But I assume you're talking about GH-23.

Yess, I´m sorry, it´s a GH-23 board
I´m using a 3.5" HDD with a GameStar SATA adapter, I will check the capacitors you are mentioning thank you!!
