PS1/2 PS2 Hard Drive Loader

I'm trying to mod my PS2 79001 to play backups from a HDD and I'm wondering where I can still buy the hardware needed.

I know about HD Pro and HD Combo but I don't think those are sold anymore.
So now I'm looking at clunkier solutions like:

Will these do the job for a 79001 ?

It won't work on that slim, only the first slim model. Install Free McBoot then load your games from your PC with Open PS2 Loader.
