Hey, long time lurker.
A few weeks ago I saw a thread about a lock screen for Arm9Loaderhax.
There were screenshots and they looked pretty cool. I read that it wasn't possible using a keyboard but we still could have button presses. Has anyone actually gotten around to creating one of these? I didn't need it back then, but my little brother just overwrote my SM3DLand and Yo-Kai Watch gameplay. I haven't even checked Smash yet... xD
Ugh... not to mention he's 8 and I'm using sysNand!

I don't think there is one, but if you use one of the boot managers and configure it to only boot your CFW of choice when holding down a certain button or button combo, that should be enough to keep your little brother out.

How would I go about doing that? Would I need to compile them myself or is it a setting within them?
Now that you mention it, my boot process is Anim9, CTR9, AuReiNAND sysNAND. There are lots of openings.

I haven't used Anim9 or CTR9, but from what I've seen most of them use an external config file. I use FIX94's arm9select which just relies on payloads being given different names, but it does need you to install his fork of a9lhax.

Haha, but either way, the last thing anyone would want to do before they go to sleep is remember screw open the back cover to remove a 2cm SD Card. And keep track of it when they wake up.

Ok, I don't have a N3DSXL so I don't use the backplate screws. I also thought there was a good chance you were on o3DS where removing the SD is really simple.

How about CTR9 defaults into fakebrick9 then?

I've heard of that. While I was reading that I thought I... could just clone CTR and rename the binaries so that it just reloads itself depending on button presses. But I realized they all use the same config file. I'd edit the program so it points to a different config. I may try something like that.

Oh, whoops. We both overlooked the different models. But NICE IDEA. I brushed off FB9's "functionality", but it would be perfect for this.

How about this. (I dunno about arm9loaderhax, so i'm talking about menuhax)
Create your own custom key combination that will load the hax only when you press those buttons. Don't tell him. Simple?

That's also a good idea, but if you don't enter anything, you'd get booted to 9 2 sysnand. That would probably be worse, especially if the update data was already downloaded to your system.
